N A T A L I E H A U S M A N N
is a cologne based composer for filmmusic and theatre and an award winning jazzmusician.
Since 2020 she has composed original scores for modern TV series e.g. „ETHNO“ // „Vierwändeplus“// „Start the fck up“, and for TV Shows like „Familie Anders“ as well as for the Amazon Prime Original „Perfekt Verpasst“ („The perfect Miss“ ).
During the pandemic she composed and recorded her most personal work
"TOIVO" for woodwinds & strings with Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg.
Currently she is composing for series again, collaborating for the 2nd time with Warner Brothers.
Although she considered to study Cinematography after school, she went with her overall passion for music, graduating with a Masters degree in jazz saxophone, piano and woodwinds @Folkwang University of Arts, Germany, playing afterwards in dozens of ensembles between Jazz, Pop, Classical music and Avantgarde.
Her score is characterized by strong melodic themes, textured minimalism and energetic rhythms arranged for acoustic & synthetic instruments. Her qualities in subtle film underscoring are always supporting the narrative and emotional background of story and characters.
During her film music journey she deeply fell in love with acoustic strings and felt piano, as well as for sample based HipHop. Right now she is exploring the endless sound world of electric guitars.
Within this creative diversity she aims to work in the field of Drama, Thriller, Arthouse and Comedy.

2009 - 2013 in Berlin as a freelance saxophone player, songwriter and composer in various genres. From big band to modern and contemporary jazz,to punk, indierock, acoustic singersongwriting, electronic & experimental music.
2013-2018 Composer, musical director and musician for theatre & performance // Schauspiel Düsseldorf, Schauspiel Essen, Comedia Köln // Philip Simon. As a composer, live and studio musician working with artists such as Marla Glen, Matthias Goerne, Filmorchester Babelsberg, Essener Philharmoniker, Duisburger Philharmoniker.
2019 UNIVERSAL and SONOTON are partners in the field of production music. Her composition “Soft Hearts” for piano and strings, recorded with Filmorchester Babelsberg reached 40K streams in the first week after release and her music is used in various TV productions around the world.
